Crossing Borders with Culture:
showcasing European artistic collaboration

As part of LUMIERE, Europe Direct North East wishes to invite you to a free afternoon seminar to explore good practice in international arts partnerships and learn about European Union funding streams to support artistic collaboration.

The event will provide opportunity to hear from festival programmer Helen Marriage, Co-Director of event producers Artichoke, who has worked with light festivals in Poland and Estonia to create a European partnership as part of LUMIERE entitled Lux Scientia.

Diane Fisher Naylor from Creativity, Culture and Education will reveal potential European co-operation pathways and Christoph Jankowski from the EU's cultural contact point in the UK will outline funding streams which can support transnational cultural co-operation.

We will also hear from practitioners in Hungary and France keen to develop further cultural collaborative projects.The afternoon will end with an optional guided tour of the LUMIERE festival site. followed by a special drinks reception afterwards.
